One of Cadinot's weaker efforts is nearly redeemed by an unquestionably hot "mile high club" initiation scene. This pre-condom flick features a young (an oxymoron when describing a Cadinot title, I suppose) DeLeiris who has discovered that his boyfriend has been a bad boy and broken the bonds of their relationship by posing for nudie pics. Romantic and sweet in it's way, it's what can politely be referred to as "minor Cadinot." The film has it's fans, but I'm not really one of them. He's done much, much better. The lame "on again off again" subtitling doesn't help matters either.

Stop may actually be my favorite (I know - I said I couldn't decide which one was my fave. Well, I'm getting a hardon just writing about it, so this must be the one). He meets up with a biker who is more than happy to give him a lift - that is, if our young buck uses his over sized stick shift on him. Garçons de Rêves (Dream Boys) is truly phenomenal, and caused quite the uproar back in its day. Stories involving horny-while-pretending-to-take-confession masturbating priests usually are. The film is set in a clinic of sorts, but I guarantee you the A.M.A. hasn't seen anything like this: two massively hung male nurses plow the hell out of a young cover model Laurent Mialat in a sequence that had me rethinking my usual horror at getting my temperature taking anally. If ancient Egypt had really been as dirty and sex-filled as this, Moses and the gang probably would have stuck around a bit longer.
The Pharaoh's Curse is a rather ambitious attempt at retelling the old story with a homoerotic twist. Armed with a generally attractive cast, the film moves from ancient Egypt to modern day America to tell the story of a pheromone-soaked garment which sends its sniffers into a state of uncontrollable sexual longing.
Things do get a bit overblown (no pun intended) at times, but overall the film is pretty artfully done. One of the main problems is the lighting. Thought the effects can be cool, too often many of the scenes tend to be a little too dark to see exactly what's going on.
A prime example is the outdoor four-way blowjob fuck fest. You wish someone would just turn on a flashlight so you could fully appreciate the group grope in all its splendor. Speaking of groups, just about every scene involves three or four people, so if you think more is merrier, then prepare to hunker down for some serious self-manipulation. All in all a job well done by director Thor Stephens.
